Daily routine at the hospital

Besides the administration department, a kitchen and a bakery cater for up to 300 persons a day.  Additionally a laundry, a warehouse, three Diesel generators and a chauffeured car pool consisting of three old jeeps and a bicycle guarantee the smooth running of the hospital.

A deep well provides hygienically impeccable raw and potable water.  Moreover, there is an incinerator for the disposal of the hospital waste according to standards for third-world-countries.

The medical material is purchased mainly in Pakistan and Kabul. Food and fuels are bought locally in Afghanistan.

In the past large in-kind donations were brought via container to Chak once a year. Today this is no longer possible.
