Vocational training

Very unusual in comparison to conditions in the rural areas, the hospital offers exceptionally good and virtually unique opportunities of training for women.

Apart from offering vocational and advanced vocational training of nurses, vaccination assistants and health instructors for our own needs we also train municipal health teachers sporadically (course duration of about two months). Since 1998 an effective education centre with housing and training facilities has been built up for these two occupational fields.

Our nurses are also health instructors and always get a further training in health instruction and mother/child health counseling.

Further training for our doctors is scarce and so they both visit other hospitals such as in Kabul (seldom even abroad, e.g. in India) and were trained during work assignments of foreign doctors in Chak (i.e. INTERPLAST), which is no longer possible.
